CASU Government Site

The Cooperative Administrative Support Unit Program - CASU - is a FAR-compliant, entrepreneurial Federal Government program that provides cooperative partnering in the acquisition and delivery of commonly-needed services and support. The President's Council for Management Improvement (PCMI) initiated the CASU Program with the goal of providing government agencies with an alternate, expeditious, high quality and more economical system of acquiring support services.

Through broad-based contracts, CASUs provide FAR-compliant high-quality contracting services to all Federal agencies. The majority of these services are professional, technical, or administrative in nature. With contracts already in place, CASU paperwork requirements are minimal and response is rapid. Only a simple Statement of Work (SOW) and an authorized government-funding document (any agency form generally used to obligate funds - PO, requisition, reimbursable work order, MIPR, etc) are needed to get started. The CASU recoups the entire cost of its administrative role with a reasonable 2% administrative fee for TO's under $5M or 1% administrative fee for TO's over $5M for services or products.

CASU has negotiated significant volume discounts with their contractors, and may serve as the high quality, rapid delivery, low cost option for your requirements. Secondly, use of the CASU may provide you with a lower cost alternative to your needs, compared to in-house efforts or other means of contracting for services.
